Nokia 500

Not well liked, but not such a bad budget smartphone.

Nokia 500 is one of the last Symbian devices and the only one where the processor is responsible for drawing graphics. Because of this, the interface is not as smooth as on other Nokia smartphones, but it doesn't cause eye pain either. Initially this smartphone ran less smoothly, but with the release of the Symbian Belle update, performance and smoothness were improved. The built-in Angry Birds game does not suffer from lags or poor framerate.
In the forums, however, it is recommended to use a customized system, which makes further improvements and removes the eternal, as annoying as it is, flaw of Symbian - the requirement for verification of application certificates.

The smartphone is similar in size to the Xperia Ray, although it is much thicker and has a smaller display. Wanting to make the smartphone more attractive in the eyes of customers, the manufacturer bundles three back covers in different colors. These, although covered with a rubberized coating, fortunately do not suffer from melting and stickiness.

The disadvantage, unfortunately, is the plastic, easily scratched touch coating. Fortunately, the touch is capacitive rather than resistive, making the device much better to use than, for example, the Samsung Star.

This unit comes from the Polish Orange network and has a SIM lock.
