The last E-series smartphone with a classic T9 keypad.
A device combining successful design, good performance, extensive system and... extremely low-quality exterior.
Nokia E52 evoked mixed feelings. On the one hand, it attracted with its capabilities, long battery life and slim and modern body, and on the other it repelled with extremely cheap materials, fragility, poor reception and lack of autofocus (which, for example, was in the older E66). The quality of the casing of this smartphone is so poor that the plastic frame can crack, and the back, very thin aluminum cover shows imperfections and stresses under the light. Speaking further of the rigidity of the body, the phone is so fragile that bending it can pop the cover. It's a shame that since around 2008 Nokia started to save on the quality of its smartphones, because the E51 and E65, for example, were very solid designs.
Saving on materials can also be seen in the camera flash, whose LED is located deep, and the sloppy plastic tunnel surrounding it is reminiscent of Asian knock-offs.
The S60 platform, as in the rest of the E and N series devices of that era, was polished to the max and performed superbly. Phones with S60v3 Feature Pack 2 run nimbly and reliably, still offering more than the then-new iPhone OS 3.
This unit comes from the Polish Orange network and has a SIM lock.
