Custom build (1999)

An example of the weirdness of the late nineties. The board is both baby AT and ATX.

On the board there is only a DIN port for the keyboard, standard for AT-class computers. The rest of the ports are led out with ribbons on brackets. Very characteristic for the budget builds of those years. This made it possible to use the already obsolete AT cases and power supplies.

It served in the school library, after which it was shut down and sat in the school basement for several years. Interestingly, in the previous life, somebody managed to swap the start screen of Windows 98 for some custom one, based on a movie poster of some sequel of "Alien", most likely "Resurrection". Unfortunately, the condition for handing this machine over from school was a complete wipe of the disk.

Originally, instead of a board from Soyo, there was a Jetway J-620BF (also an AT-ATX hybrid), but that board has become very unreliable.
The parameters have also changed a bit since I got this computer. Replaced CD drive and RAM and already mentioned motherboard, but the rest is original.
Additionally, the computer was upgraded with a dedicated video card.
