Pandigital WikiReader

A PDA-type device, dedicated to reading Wikipedia offline.

This quite specific reader offers a capacitive touch screen, underneath which there is a monochrome display without backlight.
On the front, under the screen, there are only 3 buttons: "search", "history of viewed articles" and my favorite - "random article". Using the appropriate key combination, while starting the device, allowed you to change the screen contrast, run the built-in calculator or perform diagnostics.

On the WikiReader page, articles from Wikipedia (text only) were updated from time to time. The downloaded archive had to be copied manually to a microSD card. Then you could enjoy "Wikipedia in your pocket".

Unfortunately, in 2013 the updates stopped appearing, and at the end of 2014 the website was no longer available.
Here is a community of enthusiastic users of this interesting reader, still offering support, instructions and updates to this day.
Thanks to this, my WikiReader could also come alive, if it wasn't for the fact that my reader decided that 1/3 of the touch field would just die.
